42 years after the first film of the »Star Wars« franchise, the epic space-opera saga finally comes to an end with this third installment of the »Star Wars« sequel trilogy - following 2015’s »The Force Awakens« and 2017’s »The Last Jedi« - and the final episode of the nine-part »Skywalker saga«. Legendary producer/director J.J. Abrams (»Episode VII«, »Star Trek«, »Super 8«, TV’s »Lost«) returns to the helm to bring audiences the long-awaited finale set a year after the events of »The Last Jedi«. Rey's (Ridley) journey continues and the remnants of the Resistance face the First Order once more - while reckoning with the past and their own inner turmoil.
